The Trailer Hatin’ Afficiando

Posted in News, Ramblings on January 30th, 2009 by Michael

Okay…so under normal circumstances, Writer/Director would not reply to the following, but since the digs are ripe for the picking…pick we shall.

This message was sent (and received!) this morning through the Sex and Justice web site:

First the guy sitting smoking does not imprees me and the gir just shakes her head at the questions and the guy is not really smoking, I wanted to turn the trailer off after the first 10 seconds, i know you can do better, if you were to ask me if i wanted free screening tickets I would not go.

A true movie afficiando

Now…my dear friend…

First, I ask that you please notice my use of a comma after the word “first.” Second, I am sorry that the “guy sitting smoking” does not “imprees you.” You are right, also, in noting that the girl - you meant to say “girl,” correct? - shakes her head “at the questions.” Bravo for that; I see that I have accomplished at least something, insofar as you have “gotten the point” of the moving pictures. I am sorry that you wanted to turn the trailer off after ten seconds…but wonder if you did.

It doesn’t matter, though. Partly because I like the idea of the challenge, partly because you are such a true movie “affficiando,” but mostly because I know you probably won’t respond to this…I am offering you free screening tickets.

Please send an email to info@sexandjustice.com with your full name, and then consider yourself on the comp list for whatever screening you so choose to attend. And if you do end up coming, and do end up finding the film unimpressive, too full of head-shaking, and just generally disappointing, then…too damn bad for me. I will have tried…and lost.

So it goes.

Sincerely,

W.D. Talentless

“Spare Change” and 1,000+ Trailer Views

Posted in News on January 24th, 2009 by Michael

We, The Producers, are happy to announce the inclusion of a fun (and funny) short film to our programming for the New York screenings of Sex and Justice at Tribeca Cinemas. Get your tickets here!

“Spare Change” is a hilarious 1930’s style screwball comedy film by Evan Seplow that was written, shot, and edited all in just 24 hours! It’s a funny look at what happens to a man when greed gets the better of him. The film has played worldwide at screenings in Los Angeles, Utah, New York, London, Australia and more. Evan Seplow runs a film production company, www.ImageFactory.tv and an entertainment website, www.StageBuddy.com.

Also - the Sex and Justice teaser trailer has now been viewed over 1,000 times! To celebrate this milestone, we’re going to do a dance.
